Our Story

SEA Group is a privately-held Strategic Staffing and Infrastructure Solutions company that is focused on getting the job done by bringing in the correct expertise, and servicing our clients with a “can do” enthusiasm and vigor.

SEA Group’s main management team consists of Joe Marchizza and Sean Brown.  With over 49 years of combined experience, the team of Marchizza and Brown has effectively recruited well over 3000 consultants to businesses and government agencies in the Central Illinois area. In 2012, after working together at a global IT consulting company for almost 20 years, they decided to team up and purchase SEA Group with a vision of providing cost effective staffing solutions based upon the criteria of quality over quantity.

Our current management team has developed many contract and industry partnerships over the past 30 years. We are no stranger to the advantages of partnering with industry leaders and proven partners. Our management’s experience working for a major global integrator has proven that by working with experts in the field, SEA Group is able to leverage the abilities of our partners along with our extensive experience in the market to ensure that clients are provided the optimal needed solution and the most fiscally responsible value.

SEA Group is dedicated to providing long term Infrastructure Solutions and Strategic Staffing to organizations in Central Illinois and beyond.

 
 

Our Team

 

Joe Marchizza

President

Joe Marchizza has 30+ years in the Information Technology arena, including both the private and public business sectors.

In 2012, Joe Marchizza and Sean Brown purchased SEA Group, with the goal that with their background, experience and expertise, they could create a successful, profitable consulting business.

“My main contribution to SEA Group, Inc. is the leadership and guidance of our team and the entire company. I have had 20 years’ experience of managing people and the operations of an IT consulting business. Our team strives to be focused, dependable and accountable. Our efforts must result in delivering quality, profitable, solutions to our clients.”

Joe previously served as Vice President for the Springfield branch of an international IT company for 18 years. He was responsible for managing all aspects of the operation including sales, recruiting, delivery, contract negotiation and financial performance for a branch generating over $50 million in revenue. Prior to managing the Springfield branch, Joe spent 9 years in the IT industry as a software developer/analyst, 3 years in the Insurance Industry and 6 years as a consultant for an IT company at the State of Illinois.

Joe received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science from Illinois State University.

 

Sean Brown

Director of Talent Acquisition

Sean Brown brings over 19 years’ experience in the Information Technology services industry to his role as Director of Talent Acquisition for SEA Group.

Sean is a seasoned staffing SME with vast market and technical knowledge, with an eighteen year track record of delivering cost effective workforce solutions to both Fortune 500 and State and Local Government entities. His focus has been resource management and staff augmentation, from project planning through production support, including numerous large-scale, multi-site implementations and upgrades. Sean designs and implements customized staffing programs and services for each client that he works with to ensure the best possible and most cost effective solution.

Sean received a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Illinois University/Carbondale and a Master of Arts from the University of Illinois.

 

Brad Smith

Senior Account Executive

Brad is an accomplished sales professional with extensive knowledge of computer networking infrastructure, networking solutions, and networking services. In 1997, he began working with customers to design solid networking solutions that have been affordable, exceed customer business requirements, and created migration paths to new network technologies. Within each stage of his career, Brad has helped employers to grow their businesses by aligning their companies with key technology partners and vendors. Whether working for AT&T or other networking companies, his core belief has been develop strong business relationships and your business will grow.

 

Mike Stevens

Manager, Structured Cabling Division

Mike started off his career 29 years ago as a commercial electrician. He has been with SEA Group’s Structured Cabling Division for over twenty years and in a design role for fifteen years. Mike effectively manages multiple crews of network technicians, in addition to meeting with clients and helping facilitate a proper end-to-end cabling structured network.  He can provide customers complete turnkey cabling solutions including: client site surveys, network infrastructure analysis, network infrastructure design, project bids and estimating, infrastructure installation, as well as network infrastructure testing.

Mike is a member of the BICSI, and is currently working on his BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) credential. He also possesses a Lucent Fiber Termination, Testing and Splicing Certificate, as well as O.E.M. Asbestos Training and Commscope/Systimax Installer Training Certificates.
